Threat Detection Engineer at BairesDev

As a Threat Detection Engineer, you will design and implement detection logic to identify malicious activity across diverse environments. You will transform threat intelligence into actionable alerts, ensuring comprehensive security coverage through a systematic, code-driven approach.

What You'll Do

- Develop and maintain high-fidelity detection rules and signatures using YARA and Sigma.
- Map detection capabilities to the MITRE ATT&CK; framework to identify and close visibility gaps.
- Design and implement detection logic across endpoint, network, and cloud telemetry sources.
- Collaborate with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams to refine detection strategies.




- Conduct continuous tuning and validation of alerts to minimize false positives and maximize efficacy.
- Apply Detection-as-Code principles to manage the lifecycle of detection content systematically.

What We Are Looking For

- 4+ years of experience in Security Operations, Threat Detection, or Detection Engineering.
- Proven expertise in writing detection rules and signatures using YARA and Sigma.
- Strong experience mapping security detections to the MITRE ATT&CK; framework.
- Deep understanding of identifying threats across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
