We are looking for an experienced **Lead Data Software Engineer** to join our data management team.
This role involves building and scaling the capacity of our new data platform to support existing and future data products. A strong command of Cognite Data Fusion and related tools is critical to success in this position.
**Responsibilities**
- Build and optimize data pipelines to handle large-scale data integration and processing
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows across various systems
- Leverage Apache Spark and CDC solutions to develop robust data transformation processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable and maintainable data products
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries for streamlined data analytics
- Establish and enforce best practices for Python-based data integration workflows
- Integrate APIs, including REST and GraphQL, for seamless data transfer and utilization
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system and data issues to ensure performance and reliability
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
- Maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and platform architecture
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver high-value data solutions aligned with business goals
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience working with ETL/ELT solutions, Apache Spark, and CDC technologies
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in Python for data integration, REST APIs, and SQL queries for analytics
- Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, and PostgreSQL
- Background in managing cloud data tools like Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Share
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools like Qlik Compose or related platforms
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
**Nice to have**
- Skills in Azure Databricks and Cognite Data Fusion for advanced data workflows




- Expertise in integrating services such as Fivetran and GraphQL for dynamic data environments
- Understanding of modern data-sharing solutions like Azure Data Share
