**Air & Ocean Operation Supervisor - Mexico City, Mexico**

We are currently expanding in Mexico City and are looking for an experienced **Air & Ocean Operation Supervisor** to join and help build our local team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all air and ocean freight operations in Mexico.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Team Management and Leadership**
- Build, manage, and motivate the air and ocean freight teams in Mexico City, ensuring efficiency and professionalism.
- Define team responsibilities, set annual and quarterly goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide feedback and development plans.
- Deliver ongoing training and career development opportunities to improve team capability and service quality.
**Operations and Process Management**
- Oversee daily operations of air and ocean import/export shipments, ensuring timely, safe, and compliant transportation.
- Standardize and optimize operational procedures, including booking, customs clearance, transportation, delivery, and exception handling.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in documentation according to international and local regulations.
- Monitor cargo movement in real-time and resolve any transport-related issues.
**Customer Service and Relationship Management**
- Maintain close communication with existing clients to understand their needs and improve satisfaction.
- Support the sales team by providing professional logistics solutions and operational insights.
- Design customized logistics service plans for key clients and special projects to deliver a competitive customer experience.
**Supplier and Partner Management**
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with airlines, shipping lines, trucking companies, and customs brokers.
- Participate in contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing and service quality.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with performance standards.
**Compliance and Risk Management**
- Ensure that all air and sea freight operations comply with international, national, and local customs and transportation regulations.
- Regularly update procedures to stay aligned with current industry policies and standards.
- Identify operational risks and develop effective risk management and contingency plans.
**Data Analysis and Business Reporting**
- Analyze operational data and generate regular reports to monitor team and process performance.
- Provide insights to management regarding business trends, team efficiency, and improvement opportunities.
- Use data to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluations.
**Qualifications**
**Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in international logistics or freight forwarding, with a strong background in both air and ocean freight operations.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and regulatory requirements in Mexico.
**Skills**
- Proven team management and leadership abilities.
- Proficient in logistics systems and Microsoft Office Suite; strong data analysis and reporting skills.
**Soft Skills**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental and multicultural collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
**Language Requirements**
- Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese is strongly preferred.
