Job Summary
The Mechanical Quote Project Manager will be based in Guadalajara North site, reporting to the Quote Project Manager. The Mechanical Quote Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the quote process, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive quotes for multi-site/multi-regional projects. Acting as the central point of coordination, the MQPM interfaces with internal teams, business development, and occasionally customers, while maintaining full ownership of the quote lifecycle, from initiation through approval and final proposal delivery.
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead and coordinate all quoting activities across regions and sites.
- Own quote delivery commitments: on-time delivery, cycle time, and quality.
- Drive adherence to standard quoting processes and approval workflows.
- Organize and lead quote kick-off meetings and strategy sessions.
- Act as primary escalation point throughout the quoting cycle.
- Receive, review, and distribute customer documentation.
- Conduct technical and financial analysis of quote packages.
- Create cost model, pricing roll-ups,



and final proposal assembly.
- Provide detailed technical reviews and cost analyses.
- Support sales on major project bids and pricing strategy.
- Oversee handoff of new business wins to operations and program management.
- Collaboration with Sites, Sales, Materials, Operations, Finance, and Program Management teams.
- Possess financial and P&L; knowledge, as well as product costing knowledge.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related field;
- A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal or EMS-related industry.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to interpret 2D/3D mechanical drawings and structured BOMs.
- Understanding of manufacturing cost elements and pricing methodologies.
- Comfortable working with global teams.
- Experience in the EMS industry.
- Experience with product cost management tools (e.g., aPriori).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
