Actuarial Analyst
- THE POSITION
- You will play a key role for our business, being part of the Homeowners of America (HOA) team, as a Financial analyst. The role will focus on work with members of finance, actuarial, and insurance product teams to develop and assess scenarios for rapid, profitable expansion of Homeowners of America.
- WHAT YOU DO- Analyzes, recommends, and implements appropriate revisions in actuarial methods and assumptions in areas with significant financial impact.- Work independently to develop and implement appropriate solutions- Responsible for participating in the implementation, maintenance, and basic analysis of models, studies, and systems that use actuarial principles for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting, and other actuarial functions; running, building,



and analyzing results of basic models; developing oral and written presentation skills; and learning basic business and actuarial concepts.- Utilize actuarial modeling for pricing, valuation, and/or Competitor analysis- Run models and generates scenario planning

WHAT YOU BRING:
- Strong business acumen, ideally with experience in property and casualty insurance.- The ability to work with broad goals but limited oversight.- Excel and data mining skills.- Mathematics and the ability to build analyses.- Comfort working in a distributed fashion, note that many of the HOA team members have limited or no experience working with distributed employees before Covid and limited or no experience working across countries.-
