**Requirements**:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry preferred
- Position requires 5 years experience minimum on automotive leather.
- Strong chemistry background related to coatings formulation development and raw materials used.
- Automotive systematic development methodology understanding - six sigma, DRBFM, DFMEA, APQP.
- Data analysis skills
- Analytical and physical testing understanding and skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Works closely with design team to interpret and develop new and innovative products.




- Maintains records and assists in the creation and completion of DOEs, DRBFM, and DFMEA documentation.
- Assists in transfer of new technology to plants on new item scale-ups based on APQP process.
- Prepares reports and follow up related to finish research activities.
- Sets-up and operate equipment related to finishing research.
