We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior System Administrator**to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing financial technology platforms.
In this position, you will partner closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure system stability, compliance with SOX controls, and the delivery of scalable solutions that meet evolving business needs. This is an opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations and drive process improvements in a dynamic environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Configure system fields, workflows, and functionality to support business processes and continuous improvements
- Manage user access and permissions to ensure compliance with IT General Controls and SOX requirements
- Support SOX compliance efforts by preparing audit evidence related to system access and change management
- Document and track system changes to ensure traceability and support change lookback audits
- Perform role-based access reviews, maintaining segregation of duties and alignment with job responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal audit, IT security, and compliance teams to address audit inquiries and remediate control gaps
- Respond to user issues and enhancement requests within agreed service-level agreements
- Engage with vendor support teams to resolve complex system issues
- Maintain operational tracking and audit documentation in Jira
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions
- Partner with the Enterprise Architect to inform strategic decisions related to the financial systems tech stack, including areas such as AP, GL, invoicing, and bank integration
- Lead and participate in system testing during implementations, optimization projects, and scheduled updates
- Manage development, staging,
and production environments following standard practices
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including architectural diagrams, business requirements, and functional specifications
- Build expertise in financial systems administration to drive process efficiencies and service improvements
- Proactively identify enhancements to improve business processes, system performance, and compliance
- Perform other duties as needed to support financial systems and operations
**Requirements**:
- At least 3 years of experience working with multiple financial systems and processes
- Strong knowledge of IT General Controls as part of SOX compliance, including role definition, UAR, change management, and administrative role reviews
- Experience with system configurations and customizations, including custom fields, AP workflows, PO processing, payment and refund handling, and AR adjustments
- Understanding of integration points with upstream and downstream systems
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOX and SSAE16 SOC
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with procurement platforms
- Knowledge of general ledger platforms
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable platforms
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, transformation, and reloading
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret data using Excel
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher
