Role Description The Ultrasound Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site position based in Mexico City, Mexico.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of Edan’s ultrasound imaging systems by identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and meeting or exceeding sales targets within the assigned territory.
Key responsibilities include
Identifying and developing new sales opportunities within hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and other healthcare institutions.
Managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and product presentation to negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up.
Conducting on-site product demonstrations and presenting the clinical, operational, and economic benefits of Edan’s ultrasound solutions.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with physicians, sonographers, biomedical engineers, purchasing departments, administrators, distributors, and other key decision-makers.
Providing consultative support to customers and recommending appropriate solutions based on their clinical and business requirements.
Collaborating with marketing, clinical application, service, and distribution teams to support local promotions, workshops, exhibitions, product trainings, and customer events.
Collecting and analyzing market intelligence, including customer needs, competitor activities, pricing trends, and upcoming projects.
Preparing quotations, commercial proposals, tender documentation, and contracts in accordance with company policies and pricing guidelines.
Maintaining accurate and timely records of customer visits, opportunities, follow-up activities, and sales forecasts in the CRM system.
Supporting customers throughout the sales process and coordinating internally to ensure successful product delivery, installation, training, and post-sale service.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging systems,
including imaging modalities, clinical applications, product configurations, and the competitive landscape.
Proven experience in medical device, diagnostic imaging, or healthcare sales, preferably involving ultrasound equipment.
Demonstrated ability to manage a territory, develop a sales pipeline, qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, and close complex deals.
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively with physicians, sonographers, administrators, purchasing teams, and other healthcare professionals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to conduct professional product demonstrations and translate technical features into clear clinical, operational, and commercial value.
Strong organizational and planning abilities, including effective scheduling of customer visits, demonstrations, follow-ups, and sales activities.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Medical Technology, or a related field.
Fluency in Spanish is required; professional proficiency in English is strongly preferred.
Willingness to travel within Mexico and the assigned territory.
Valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with the Mexican healthcare system, medical-device distribution channels, public and private procurement processes, and hospital purchasing procedures is considered an advantage.
