**Responsabilities**:
- Customer inputs (2D3DDetails) study including GD&T; and Process Capability requirement for product Development.
- Product Relationships Check - Product & Drawing Relationships
- Parameter Sheet Preparation Verification for Cavitation, Machine tonnage, Mold size, Cycle Time, Mold type, HRS type, Tool Steel, any other tooling requirement etc.
- Tooling Feasibility DFM of part.
- Product design & Product modification as per Customer & Tooling requirement.
- Reverse Engineering for 3D CAD creation
- Resin shrinkage selection (Single Differential) wrt resin data sheet-past usage of same resin in company and part requirement.
- Design Injection mold in 3D in NX from customer inputs as per company defined std process with best possible feed system(from all type of gates), cavity layout, under cut relieving mechanism and tooling mechanism.
- Application of differential shrinkage, if required.
- Finalizing best suited Hot runner system as per part requirement and customer inputs.
- Moldflow analysis results study and their interpretation for effective mold design.
- BOM creation with appropriate Steel and best suited Std parts selection.
- Mold design optimization.
- Detailed drawing creation with GD&T; for manufacturing and reference.
- Customer, Supplier, Inter department interaction for tool development.
- Attend Tool trial as and when required.
- Tool correction plan preparation




- Maintain/Improve engineering processes pertaining to downstream manufacturing and customer documentation requirements.
- Maintain expertise in CAD, ASME Y14.5 standards (GD&T;), Product life cycle Management (PLM) design activities, fabrication methods and rich knowledge on ASME Y14 standard series as well as ISO GPS standards,
**Knowledge**:
- Exposure to Implementation & maintenance of ISO 9000 & IATF 16949.
- Regarded as a technical expert in design documentation processes, including CAD, Tolerance Analysis and GD&T.;
- Understanding of effective CAD modeling techniques and knowing when & how to use them (sketching, solids modeling, Assembly, Drawing, Surfacing, Mechanism Dynamics, Behavioral Modeling/Smart Models, Top Down Design).
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, ISO & ASME standards.
- Stack up Analysis.
- Hands-on experience in Catia, PowerShape, Auto CAD.
- Design for Six Sigma & DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly).
- Design optimization (CAD geometry, Design Best Practices).
- Different types of Polymers, their properties and usage.
- Different types of Tool Steel, their properties and usage.
- Injection Molding process
- Maintain/Improve engineering processes pertaining to downstream manufacturing and customer documentation requirements.
**Qualifications**:
Degree / Diploma in Engg / TRTC / NTTF
with 6+ years of experience in Molding industry / Tooling / Automotive industry.
English level - advanced
