Key Responsibilities
Test Automation Strategy & Framework
- Define and implement automation strategy for core banking projects (Signature Next, Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, etc.).
- Design scalable, maintainable automation frameworks using Java with Selenium or Playwright.
- Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).Automation Development
- Build and maintain reusable test scripts for regression, functional, API, and integration testing.
- Ensure automation coverage across web, API, and batch processes.
- Develop utilities for data setup, validation, and results comparison (includingDB validation with SQL). Test Management
- Work with Business Analysts and Test Managers to define test strategy, test scenarios, and automation scope.
- Prioritize test cases for automation and ensure maximum ROI from automated testing.
- Ensure requirements traceability (RTM) and integrate automation results with test management tools (JIRA, ALM, qTest, Zephyr).Team Leadership
- Lead a team of automation engineers (onsite/offshore).
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and provide mentorship.
- Drive best practices for automation, version control (Git), and defectmanagement. Integration with Core Banking
- Automate E2E scenarios across core banking modules (CIF, Deposits, Lending, Payments, Teller, GL, EOD/BOD).
- Automate APIs, web UIs, and integration points with digital channels, CRM, AML, payments, and reporting.
- Automate regression packs for data migration validation (source vs. target). Reporting & Quality Assurance
- Define KPIs (automation coverage %, execution pass rate, defect leakage, execution time reduction).




- Provide dashboards and reports to stakeholders on test coverage, automation health, and quality metrics.Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8-12 years in QA/testing with 4+ years in automation leadership.
- Core Tech Skills:
○ Java (strong programming skills).
○ Selenium WebDriver & TestNG/JUnit OR Playwright withJava/TypeScript.
○ API testing (RestAssured, Postman, Playwright API, SOAP UI). ○ SQL for DB validation.
○ Git/GitHub/GitLab for source control.
○ CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Test Management Tools: JIRA, Zephyr, ALM, or qTest.
- Delivery Models: Agile/Scrum/SAFe and hybrid waterfall-agile.
- Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, team leadership,communication, and problem-solving.Nice-to-Have
- Banking domain certifications (CBAP, ISTQB Advanced Test Automation).
- Cloud testing exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP test pipelines).
- Performance testing (JMeter, Gatling).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Serenity).
- Exposure to containerized test execution (Docker, Kubernetes).Outcomes & KPIs
