**About the position**:

**What will you be doing?**:
- Lead development efforts with a focus on Java (approx. 50%),



React (approx. 35%), and Node.js (approx. 15%).
- Design, write, test, document, and deploy robust code using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and React/Next.js.
- Build reusable code, libraries, and backend APIs, optimizing for speed and scalability.
- Design and implement data storage solutions, using MySQL and Redis.
- Leverage your expertise in Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes (EKS) for containerization and cloud infrastructure management.
- Support and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI).
- Participate actively in design and architecture discussions and agile sprint team ceremonies, understanding microservices principles.
- Contribute to the product vision and explore/propose new technologies.
- As the foundational member of our Mexico team, coach, mentor, and provide local support to future Metafora engineers.

**What we need**:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in:
- 5+ years of hands on experience with Java (17+), SpringBoot and Node.js.
- 3+ years of hands on experience with React and Next.js.
- 2+ years of hands on experience with Node.js.
- Proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes (specifically EKS), and AWS cloud services are essential.
- Experience with MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and CircleCI are preferred.
- Solid understanding of building and consuming REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Proficient understanding of build and source control tools (e.g., Git).
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Passion for mentoring and team leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of proficiency in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
