**About the role**
The work demands immense grit and attention to technical details, operating under pressure with constantly evolving regulatory complexity. You will manage ambiguous cases and often step in to investigate, protecting both our users and Uber's financial risk profile.
Navigating this critical and high-stakes environment in a growing international market accelerates your influence and expertise on a integral scale.
**What you'll do**
- Investigate and Execute Case Management**: You will manage an inventory of claims, fully documenting initial accident reports and reconciling conflicting accounts to determine coverage eligibility under complex international insurance policies. This includes processing high-volume incident reports and claims entries with high attention to detail.
- Deep-Dive Investigation & Problem Solving**: Own the triage process for high-severity auto claims, managing the handoff from internal systems to external insurance carriers or international Centers of Excellence (COEs). This requires deep-diving into complex reports, evidence gathering, and root cause analysis to unblock and secure critical missing data, ensuring insurance partners are fully equipped to handle claims without unnecessary delay.
- Scale and Improve Processes: Contribute to the long-term health of the function by building, maintaining, and refining internal reporting processes for auto-related and personal accident claims that can keep pace with Uber's massive growth and product expansion. This involves developing and maintaining appropriate metrics, governance, and control mechanisms for specialized claims handling.
- Stakeholder Coordination**: You will communicate with external insurance partners and internal stakeholders across Spanish-speaking markets to drive claims resolution.
Collaborate across disciplines to resolve complex cases and reinforce Uber's trip-obsessed commitment to safety, ensuring people feel supported through high-stakes situations.
