Position Summary
The Master Planner Manager acts as the central orchestrator for the entire site's production
planning ecosystem. This strategic leadership role oversees end-to-end
planning—encompassing SMT, middle-end, and back-end operations—to ensure seamless
integration between Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Cross-Functional Teams (CFT). The
primary mandate is to drive a robust Sales and Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) process
and ensure plant planning aligns perfectly with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
● Site Planning Leadership: Provide end-to-end supervision and strategic direction for
the entire production planning lifecycle, ensuring alignment across SMT, middle-end,
and back-end manufacturing processes.
● Strategic Integration: Act as the critical bridge between SCM and CFT, fostering cross-
departmental collaboration to optimize resource allocation and production flow.
● SIOP Governance: Define, implement, and maintain an effective SIOP process,
ensuring that long-term strategic plans and short-term operational execution are
harmonized.
● Production Constraint Management: Leverage an objective, data-driven perspective
to identify and clearly define production constraints. Enforce rigorous third-party checks
to ensure material availability and production feasibility.
● Organizational Reporting: Report directly to the Site Leader to ensure top-level
alignment. Manage all SCM leaders through a dotted-line structure, ensuring consistent
planning methodologies and accountability across the site.
● Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify process gaps and drive improvements
to increase plant planning accuracy, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory turns.
Qualifications & Requirements
● Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, with a
proven track record in site-level planning and production control.
● Leadership Presence: Demonstrated strong personality with the ability to influence
stakeholders at all levels, maintain objective perspectives under pressure, and champion
high-accountability standards.
● Strategic Capability: Deep understanding of SIOP/S&OP; processes, material
constraints, and the technical intricacies of SMT and electronic manufacturing production
environments.
● Analytical Rigor: Strong capability in conducting objective, constraint-based analysis
and establishing clear performance metrics and audits.
