The role is responsible to adapt, maintain and continually improve the policies, programs and requirements for environment, health, safety, and well-being (EHS) within Ericsson. Driving to create a sustainable safety culture and promoting employee well-being are part of the responsibility across Mexico and assigned BA.
The EHS Manager enables consistent EHS governance, data‑driven decision‑making, and continual improvement, ensuring employees can thrive, perform at their best, and return home safe and well every day.
**Responsibilities & Outcomes**
- Contributes to internal and external reports, audits, assessments and EHS and well-being programs and campaigns.
- Supports Ericsson's EHS leadership by contributing to solving complex issues, developing solutions and information for decision making.
- Supports EHS strategy execution, governance, processes, and drives continues improvements.
- Follows up target performance, identifies deviations, and proposes corrective actions.
- Contributes to competence and development.
- Supports EHS legislation monitoring.
- Coordinate and participate in EHS governance forums and safety committees, ensuring effective communication, training, engagement, and required documentation.
- Drive the effectiveness and maturity of the EHS Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and Ericsson global governance.
- Proactively identify EHS risks and opportunities.
- Lead and support incident investigations, including serious incidents, ensuring high‑quality root cause analysis, learning, and sustainable corrective actions.
- Support digitalization, automation, and AI‑enabled initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and execution of EHS programs.
- Coordinate emergency bridges and ensure compliance with applicable NOMs and Fire Department regulations.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required to support EHS business operations
**Qualifications (required)**
- Industrial Engineering or related field, with valid professional license (cédula professional).
- Demonstrated ability in interpretation and compliance verification of the following Mexican regulations:
- Federal Labor Law (Ley Federal del Trabajo) and its Regulations
- Official Mexican Standards (NOMs) issued by STPS, SEMARNAT, and PROFEPA
- Federal Regulation on Occupational Safety and Health (Reglamento Federal de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo - RFSST)
- General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection (LGEEPA) and its Regulations
- General Law for Prevention and Comprehensive Waste Management (LGPGIR) and its Regulations
- General Civil Protection Law and its Regulations
- Minimum 3 years of experience within Environmental, Health, Safety, and Well‑Being roles.
**Valuable Experience**
- Long experience of theoretical concepts and principles in own area of responsibility
- within EHS and Well-being
- Experience working in a integral team
- Experience working in a dynamic and agile environment
