Resumen: This position collaborates closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and productivity initiatives. **Responsabilidades**:
**Mains Responsibilities**:
- Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing design solutions for new and existing products.
- Evaluate product designs to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and assembly efficiency (DFA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance, quality, and production costs.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production launch.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and cycle time optimization.
- Design and validate manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and production equipment.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure proper implementation.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and engineering calculations.
- Support prototype builds and production validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on engineering projects.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of **5-7 years** of experience in manufacturing design or product engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Proficiency with CAD software such as **SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD.**:
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with engineering change management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or sheet metal manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Project management experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).
- Familiarity with laboratory testing and product validation.
