Job Summary
Our client, an international manufacturing company specializing in engineered material‑handling and reusable industrial packaging solutions, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to develop and expand business throughout Northern Mexico, including Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, and Coahuila. This position will manage the complete commercial cycle, from market development, prospecting, and technical consultation through quotation, negotiation, order placement, delivery, invoicing, and payment follow‑up. The successful candidate will combine technical understanding with strong commercial execution. This person must be able to identify customer applications, understand manufacturing and material‑flow challenges, coordinate customized solutions, and build long‑term relationships with industrial customers. This is a highly independent, territory‑based role requiring strong new‑business development capability, disciplined pipeline management, frequent customer interaction, and close coordination with internal engineering, operations, sales, and customer‑service teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Business Engineering, or a related technical field.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical B2B sales, sales engineering, business development, or territory sales within industrial manufacturing markets.
- Proven experience selling one or more of the following: material‑handling solutions, industrial containers, pallets, trays, racks, or dunnage, intralogistics systems, custom plastic products, engineered products or application‑based solutions used in manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated success prospecting, developing, negotiating, and closing new business with industrial customers.
- Experience managing consultative sales processes involving technical requirements, customized products, engineered solutions, or complex quotations.
- Ability to independently manage a broad territory and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Experience interacting with engineering, operations, supply chain, purchasing, quality, logistics, and senior commercial stakeholders.
- Availability to travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned Northern Mexico territory.
- Experience selling to manufacturing industries such as automotive, electronics, medical devices, appliances, industrial equipment, or related sectors.
- Availability for occasional international travel for training, business meetings, and coordination activities.
- Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasts, quotations, customer activities, and commercial opportunities through a CRM or similar system.
- Strong Excel, reporting, and commercial‑planning skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a structured commercial plan for the assigned Northern Mexico territory.
- Identify, prospect, qualify,
and develop new industrial customers.
- Generate new business opportunities within the company’s target markets and applications.
- Expand existing customer accounts and identify additional products, applications, programs, and projects.
- Conduct customer visits to understand operational, technical, logistical, and commercial requirements.
- Provide consultative technical‑sales support and recommend appropriate standard or customized solutions.
- Work with customers to define project assumptions, applications, dimensions, volumes, technical specifications, and quotation requirements.
- Coordinate internally to develop technically accurate and commercially competitive proposals.
- Prepare, submit, negotiate, and follow up on quotations.
- Manage commercial opportunities from initial prospecting through purchase order, delivery, invoicing, and collection.
- Promote the development of new products and customized solutions based on customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate and current customer, pipeline, quotation, and opportunity information in the CRM.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, territory plans, and commercial activity reports.
- Monitor quotations, conversion rates, purchase orders, order‑book development, annual sales, and new‑customer activity.
- Support timely payment of accounts receivable and follow up on past‑due balances.
- Maintain customer communication throughout product development, order execution, delivery, and post‑sale support.
- Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams, suppliers, and other business partners.
- Organize efficient customer visits and regional travel schedules.
- Participate in sales meetings, business reviews, continuous‑improvement projects, and internal coordination activities.
- Attend trade shows, industry exhibitions, customer events, and commercial meetings as required.
- Meet or exceed established commercial KPIs.
- Comply with the company’s quality‑management system, internal policies, health and safety standards, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
