Senior Cost Analyst II – Product Costing & Cost Systems

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Analyst II to join a global automotive manufacturing company. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in product costing, manufacturing finance, ERP costing systems, and cost improvement initiatives .

You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of product costs, validating cost-saving initiatives, supporting costing processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain product costing information within the ERP system.
- Develop and validate standard cost estimates for new and existing products.
- Analyze manufacturing cost drivers, including materials, labor, overhead, cycle times, and variances.
- Validate and monitor cost reduction initiatives and project savings.
- Support cost rollups, standard cost updates, and costing processes.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within costing systems.
- Generate and analyze cost reports and KPIs for management.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve costing processes and internal controls.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to costing and financial performance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.




- 5+ years of experience in Product Costing, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or Cost Engineering .
- Experience within a manufacturing environment (Automotive industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of:
- Standard Costing
- Manufacturing Cost Analysis
- Cost Variance Analysis
- Cost Reduction Initiatives
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience is highly preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced English (required).

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting costing systems or ERP implementations.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations.
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments.
- Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar is a plus).
