About the Role

Relay Human Cloud is seeking an experienced YARDI Property Accountant to join our growing team and support a portfolio of commercial and multifamily real estate assets across the United States.

This is a hands-on accounting role requiring strong expertise in Yardi Voyager or Yardi Breeze, a solid understanding of US GAAP, and experience managing the full accounting cycle for multiple properties. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. What You'll Do

As a Property Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting key reporting processes.

Responsibilities

Manage the full-cycle accounting process for an assigned portfolio of properties.

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and recurring adjustments in Yardi.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.

Complete CAM reconciliations and tenant billing adjustments.

Review lease abstracts, rent rolls, and recurring charges.

Manage accounts receivable, collections, delinquency tracking, and aging reports.

Process accounts payable and ensure accurate coding of invoices and expenses.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

Assist with year-end audits and preparation of supporting schedules.

Ensure compliance with lease agreements, operating agreements, and lender reporting requirements.

Partner with property management teams to resolve accounting and reporting issues.

Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses for stakeholders.



What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in Property Accounting, Real Estate Accounting, or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager or Yardi Breeze is required.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and real estate accounting principles.

Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.

Experience with CAM reconciliations, lease administration, tenant billing, and month-end close processes.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple entities and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting US-based commercial real estate companies, REITs, or property management firms.

Familiarity with Power BI or SQL reporting tools.

Experience with additional real estate platforms such as MRI, RealPage, or AppFolio.

Experience working with US-based accounting teams.

CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification.
