Coordinates bed assignments with Emergency Department, Nursing units and Patient Placement to facilitate safe and expeditious patient placement/assignment.Key ResponsibilitiesMajor Job Functions:Makes rounds throughout shift to assess accommodation of patients and staff response to patient placement issuesCommunicates regularly with Patient Placement, Nursing Units and the Emergency Department to facilitate flow of patients being admittedIntercedes in difficult patient/family situations to provide support, public relations and problem resolutionTakes needed action to facilitate departure of discharged patientsAssesses staffing levels in consideration of patient acuity and makes recommendations regarding interventions as indicated according to divisional staffing policiesCommunicates with Patient Care Manager as indicated during shift and completes reports needed for administrationMonitors, directs and facilitates hospital operations including customer satisfaction,
