Global Category Manager (Raw Materials) – São Paulo (BR) or Queretaro (MX)
As a Integral Category Manager (Raw Materials) you will develop and implement strategies to source critical and complex Aroma Chemicals, securing supply in line with the business plan.
You will operate with significant autonomy under the guidance of the Segment Head.
Sourcing Strategy
Manage the category in alignment with the **** procurement strategy.
Drive the development and implementation of RM category strategies.
Analyze market and implement risk‐management strategies for the portfolio.
Lead sourcing strategy development within cross‐functional teams for key categories.
Lead major RFQs and key negotiations to implement sourcing strategy.
Portfolio Management
Negotiate contracts globally.
Select, manage and audit suppliers.
Identify portfolio optimization opportunities and lead development of optimization plans.
Own key supplier relationships and lead escalation of supplier conflicts through GBS.
Communicate demand or specification changes to suppliers.
Ensure adequate contract coverage and supplier compliance.
Ensure vendor performance meets target levels.
Stakeholder Relationship
Communicate to key internal stakeholders and Segment BPs any market condition changes that may affect the business.
Support responsible sourcing projects and provide information to the Procurement Sustainability Manager as needed.
Cost Optimization
Provide business planning information.
Develop cost‐reduction projects.
Provide price forecasts and market trend information for key commodities.
Travel
Up to 20% travel to meet suppliers, hold internal meetings, and attend industry trade‐shows.
Academic Background
Relevant degree required; a degree in chemical engineering or organic chemistry is a plus.
Professional Experience
Minimum 5‐7 years' experience in procurement.
Knowledge of F&F;/FMCG/chemical industry.
Specific technical and market knowledge in the respective category.
International exposure in previous role.
Skills
Fluent in English.
Experience developing and executing category strategies.
Cultural awareness for fast‐changing business requirements.
Thorough understanding of sales/marketing practices, global logistics, and supply‐chain operations.
Capability to construct and execute complex analyses (e.g., TCO, NPV).
Ability to predict and anticipate market trends.
Strong system and data management skills; especially Excel and SAP Procurement modules and related systems.
