Job SummarySenior Software Development Manager will be responsible for creating a framework and structure to quickly grow your team and scale the software development processes to deliver complex projects quickly and with high quality.
This role will provide technical leadership, vision, direction, and mentoring for multiple software engineering teams as part of our Technology department.
The Senior Software Development Manager will also play a vital role to help set the technical vision for the company and lead the engineering teams to execute that vision.Job ExpectationsKey member in setting up the technical road map of the companyResponsible for setting up Goals and OKRs for teams reporting to themOversee multiple SDMs and development teamsResponsible for resource planning, estimation, and delivery of projects and productsResponsible for building, mentoring, and coaching high performing teamsResponsible for performance management of their team members (quarterly feedback)Performance, set expectations and goals for staff membersWrites and implements quality procedureManage and execute software development projects from beginning to finishEstablish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality softwareMust be able to mentor all levelsWork closely with the other teams to optimize system architecture and project efficiencyPartner with our Product Owner to plan work and prioritizationGuide team development efforts towards successful project deliveryProvide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorshipMaintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habitsProvide regular updates on projects and team performanceIdentify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on budgetKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSolid communication skillsMust be a team player with get it done attitudeAbility to inspire teams and a salesman of ideasStrong experience in building teams, hiring, firing, coaching, and motivating staffExperience leading multiple teams, on-site/remote (10+ reports)Proficient with Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)Familiar with large scale distributed systems and infrastructure including but not limited to Kubernetes cluster management strategy, CI/CD, Redis, Rabbit MQ, etc.Strong knowledge of system architecture, best practices, and design patternsStrong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processesStrong knowledge and experience in MicroServices, SOA and n-tier architecturesStrong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deploymentExpert in project management methodologies and frameworks such as Kanban, Scrum or AgileEquipment KnowledgeExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferredExperience RequirementsGenerally, requires 10 years of experience with software development, design patterns,
