A Production Planning job in the metal mechanic industry involves creating and executing production schedules and ensuring that production goals are met within budget and on time.
The job requires a deep understanding of demand interpretation and MRP systems to manage materials and resources effectively.
Key responsibilities for this role may include: Interpreting and analyzing demand for products, based on customer orders and sales forecasts.
Developing and maintaining production schedules to meet demand, while optimizing the use of resources and minimizing costs.
Collaborating with other departments such as procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure that materials and resources are available when needed.
Monitoring production processes and making adjustments as necessary to ensure that production goals are met.




Conducting regular meetings with production teams to review progress, discuss any issues or concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
Utilizing MRP systems to manage inventory levels and track materials usage to ensure that production schedules can be met.
Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency and quality.
