We're currently looking for a Safety Engineer to join our growing team of engineering and ergonomics professionals.
Successful candidates will have the following attributes
Experience applying industrial safety
The ability to report project status accurately and in timely fashion to manager level management
Strong Negotiation skills to drive timing targets
Working under pressure and time availability
Teamwork, proactive, with sense of urgency & customer service attitude to drive customer satisfaction (internal & external)
Strong communication skills to interact with different level of members within the organization
Organizational and planning skills
Experience in the manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
Provide training on safety related subjects to personnel - Material development for every particular event
Perform other miscellaneous safety functions
Act as the subject matter expert for Safety in support of the current production
Apply GMS risk assessment process
Engage and lead the Manufacturing Engineer team on tooling and facility safety Risk Assessment
Compile necessary documentation "Evidence Book"
Following procedures,



conduct design review and sign-off of Racks for safety and ergonomics
Support Safety team in general safety process and training development and administration
Support the plant safety team to review and approve all ECPL Placards for new and/or modified equipment utilizing the PACT software
Coordinate and track all Protag buyoffs
Complete plant floor buy-offs utilizing the Protag procedure in accordance with specific procedures
Use of the tools governed by the Vehicle Operations safety procedures and standards, including but not limited to; HIRAP, Risk Assessment, Placarding
Follow up on new equipment installation and ensure all safety items are addressed
Program metrics, utilizing the standard performance metric formats
Perform tooling/machine and facility safety analyses as needed to support the zero RED safety issues initiative
Requirements
Bachelor's in Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics or similar
Safety Engineer - Minimum 3-year experience in the area of safety
Detailed knowledge of automotive processes and toolsets as Electric, Mechanical, Civil Protection
English language at medium - advanced level
Automotive customer portals knowledge
Experience in Automotive industry company
Experience in blocking and energy management practices, installation of machinery
Additional Information
Environment- Typical office and or manufacturing plant floor facilities
May be required to work outside of typical office hours to support client projects
Ability to work independently with little or limited supervision
