Descripción y detalle de las actividadesA leading company in the industrial manufacturing sector is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to take ownership of assigned direct material categories, including critical and complex components, finished goods, and raw materials sourced domestically and internationally.
- Develop and maintain category strategies that reduce supply risk and ensure business continuity.
- Assess supply chain risk across multiple tiers (Tier 1, 2, 3) and implement mitigation plans accordingly.
- Lead initiatives to improve supplier performance through development programs and lean manufacturing practices.
- Enhance supply chain resilience by pursuing dual sourcing and localized supply strategies.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers; manage RFQ processes and evaluate proposals based on defined criteria to optimize and rationalize the global supply base.
- Lead the execution of cost productivity and value engineering projects to deliver consistent year-over-year savings.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives by ensuring supplier readiness and alignment with project timelines.




- Work closely with suppliers to obtain accurate and timely information regarding pricing, lead times, availability, capacity, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve supplier quality performance by identifying root causes of non-conformance and driving corrective action plans.Experiência y requisitos- Bachelor's degree is required (Business, Economics, Engineering, or Finance).
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in sourcing / procurement or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
