- manufacturing/mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing plant is preferred
- creativity to explore new ideas and new technologies to product quality product in a cost-effective manner is essential.

essential job duties and responsibilities

primary responsibilities

- continuous improvement efforts and drive production efficiency initiatives
- support varied manufacturing projects,



including process improvements and cost reduction activities
- support and practice lean / teoa initiatives
- plan equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maximize efficiency and maintain safe utilization of plant facilities
- validate original cost estimates to vigente costs for launched programs
- estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements and improvements
- maintain records and systems for coordinating manufacturing operations
- design both simple and complex tools, gages, and fixtures to support production
- initiate root cause analysis and perform mistake proofing.
- effectively support the production floor as needed.
- successfully train operators in proper methods and usage of tooling, fixtures and machines.
- perform time studies, line balance and eliminate non-value added operations
