Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as a Warranty Quality Engineer. This position is responsible for implementing effective solutions for quality issues in warranties and assembly plants.

Key responsibilities

- Responsible for analyzing product returns due to quality issues under warranty or from the factory and generating analysis reports.
- Responsible for managing the warranty database for domestic and foreign returns.
- Processing warranty claims with domestic and international customers.
- Participate in Quality Review Board projects with the multidisciplinary team for problems assigned as part of warranty reduction.
- Monitor and follow up on established gates for warranty issues.
- Contact domestic, international, and internal BorgWarner customers to respond to warranty issues reported on our products.
- Control of production checks sent to corporate and SLP lab and follow‑up on findings.

What we’re looking for

- Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in a similar position: 3 years or more in a similar role.
- Technical knowledge required: Mechanical and electronic manufacturing processes, Poka Yokes, FMEA, GD&T.; Weibull analysis desirable, CQI-14 desirable.
- Other requirements: Microsoft Office,



IATF Quality Systems & ISO 14001 Environmental Systems, Statistical Methods, Problem‑Solving Techniques, Device Design.
