Under the mentorship of senior designers and engineers, you will use Revit to translate engineering concepts into precise technical deliverables. Responsibilities
- Work on markups provided by higher‑level designers/engineers using Revit to create precise electrical and I&C; design packages.
- Apply design fundamentals to entire systems or sub‑systems, specifically focusing on instrumentation, control loops, and electrical layouts.
- Solve design problems, with expected assistance and collaboration from more experienced team members.
- Perform a variety of routine design assignments, with increasing responsibility, under the direction of senior designers or senior engineers.
- Technical computations: work from own designs and designs of others, compile data, and perform design computations to support engineering requirements.
- Work under close supervision with work effort frequently checked during progress and reviewed upon completion to ensure professional development and quality.
- Maintain working knowledge of the discipline's codes (such as NEC) and study non‑routine code issues to ensure safety and compliance.
- Use AI or similar digital technology to perform the job function, aligning with SSOE’s commitment to innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Desirable: Engineering bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering or any related field.
- Six months to three years or more of experience as an electrical designer.
- Prior experience as an electrical designer focused on instrumentation and controls electrical design.
- Experience with low and medium voltage building systems (facilities).
- AutoCAD prior experience.
- Advanced English. Will report to US.
Desirable Skills
- Prior Revit experience.
- Prior Revit training.
- Understanding of instrumentation, PLC/control hardware, or electrical schematics is highly preferred.
