Professional studies

1. Bachelor’s in English Language Teaching, in English Language or in Languages.
2. English teaching certification: TKT, COTE, DOTE, ICELT, CertTESOL, TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA.
3. English proficiency certificate C1 or C2 according to Common European Framework of Reference standards: IELTS (8 minimum), Certificate of Advanced English (CAE), Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), Cambridge English: Business Higher (BEC), BULATS (75 minimum), TOEFL iBT (95 points minimum) TOEIC (4 skills), CENNI (levels 14-19).

Note: It is a requirement for the teacher to have a bachelor’s degree.

Teaching experience

1. No less than five years’ experience teaching English to adults or at higher education level, and 1 year teaching business English.

Teaching and professional competencies

1. Knowledge of didactic principles, as well as of language teaching methods, procedures and techniques, especially within the communicative and lexical approaches.
2. Knowledge of the phonological,



lexico-semantic and morpho-syntactic subsystems of the English language.
3. Commitment towards teaching, his/her work and the Institution.
4. Resourcefulness and knowledge of technology in order to provide variety to his/her teaching practice.
5. Participatory and proactive attitude in college meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops to improve his/her professional competencies.
6. Ability to create a favorable learning environment in his/her classes.
7. Ability to identify specific needs in each learner for his/her lesson planning.
8. Friendly and respectful attitude.
