Responsibilities Design and develop industrial packaging solutions for electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, and metal components. Create 3 D models, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) using CAD software. Design packaging solutions using wood, steel, corrugated cardboard, foam, plastics, and recyclable materials. Validate packaging designs through impact, vibration, compression, and humidity testing in accordance with ISTA, ASTM, and ISO standards. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers to implement new packaging solutions and design improvements. Develop packaging specifications and work instructions for production. Lead cost reduction, standardization, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage engineering changes, drawing revisions, and technical documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial packaging design and development within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Solid Works,



Autodesk Inventor, Auto CAD, or similar CAD software , including 3 D modeling, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM). Strong knowledge of packaging materials (wood, steel, corrugated cardboard, plastics, foam, and recyclable materials) and packaging standards such as ISTA, ASTM D4169, and ISO . Experience with packaging validation, cost optimization, continuous improvement, and Engineering Change Management (ECO/ECN, PDM/PLM). Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel ; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Syteline, or similar) is preferred. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency. Preferred: Experience in the electrical manufacturing industry, including switchgear, transformers, or industrial equipment, as well as knowledge of sustainable packaging practices or ISTA certification.
