We are hiring an Android Engineering Manager to build, tune, and support native Android apps with a Kotlin-first approach. You will align product, design, and backend stakeholders to ship scalable mobile features and strengthen a dependable Android experience. Responsibilities Design and develop high-performance native Android applications with Kotlin Establish and evolve scalable app architecture using modern Android patterns Collaborate with product managers to turn feature concepts into clear mobile requirements Partner with UX/UI designers to deliver responsive interfaces aligned with Material Design guidelines Integrate mobile features with backend microservices and RESTful or Graph QL APIs Write clean, maintainable code and lead code reviews to uphold engineering standards Create unit and UI tests to ensure app stability and regression coverage Profile and optimize performance for speed, battery use,
and memory consumption Support release preparation and publish updates to the Google Play Store Coordinate efforts with backend engineers to ensure reliable integrations and data flows Requirements Hands‑on background with 7+ years of native Android development experience Lead‑level experience guiding engineering decisions and supporting team delivery Strong ability to collaborate on projects within Agile/Scrum environments Advanced Kotlin skills paired with deep Android SDK knowledge Extensive Android Jetpack knowledge, including architecture components Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture Proficiency with dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger Practical experience with Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming Hands‑on testing skills with unit and UI tests using tools like JUnit and Espresso Strong code quality skills including writing clean, maintainable, testable code and performing code reviews Effective communication skills for cross-functional work with product, UX/UI, and backend teams English proficiency: B2 Upper-Intermediate Nice to have Experience with Jetpack Compose Knowledge of Android Studio and Gradle build configuration Proficiency with Git Familiarity with Jira and Confluence We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Healthcare benefits Employee financial programsPaid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the Linked In Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and Linked In
