**J**ob Summary:
The Early Collector is responsible for managing and resolving early-stage overdue accounts to ensure timely payments from customers.
This role involves contacting clients, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records of interactions while providing excellent customer service.
Key Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher; additional education in finance or business is an advantage.
- 2+ years of experience in collections, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills are required.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Basic knowledge of collections software and collection systems.
- Familiarity with local regulations related to debt collection is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
Identify reasons for delayed payments and provide solutions to resolve issues.
- Payment Negotiation:




Negotiate payment terms or arrangements to recover outstanding amounts.
Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Customer Interaction:
Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customers.
Educate customers about payment options and the consequences of non-payment.
- Record Keeping:
Document all customer interactions, payment agreements, and outcomes in the system.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for reporting and follow-ups.
- Performance Targets:
Meet or exceed individual and team collection targets.
Contribute to reducing delinquency rates within the early-stage collections portfolio.
- Collaboration:
Work closely with the Early Collection Manager and other team members to escalate unresolved cases.
Provide feedback on recurring issues or process improvements.
