Role's Mission:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including but not limited to the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings specific to the LATAM region.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maintain the integrity of all financial transactions and reporting.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors.
- Manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, including variance analysis and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Implement and optimize financial systems and technology to improve efficiency and provide strategic data analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, providing financial insights and risk assessment.




- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation in the LATAM region, adapting company policies as necessary to maintain compliance.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
A Master's degree or CPA (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in the FinTech or financial services industry, particularly within the LATAM market, is strongly desired.
- Comprehensive understanding of Mexican GAAP & IFRS
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and the development of internal controls.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ERP systems is a plus (Oracle)
- Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
