Position: Talent Acquisition Lead, LATAM - Manufacturing OperationsLocation: Mexicali, Mexico (100% onsite)Reports To: Talent Acquisition Manager, LATAMThe Talent Acquisition Lead, LATAM Manufacturing Operations will lead a team of recruiters and oversee external recruitment partners supporting Manufacturing and Factory Hourly hiring across multiple plants in Latin America.This role is responsible for developing and executing scalable, high-volume recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain operational talent, including production operators, technicians, warehouse employees, and manufacturing support roles.
The successful candidate will partner closely with HR and business leaders to ensure workforce needs are met while maintaining a strong focus on recruiter engagement, operational excellence, process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.This position requires a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and can effectively support seasonal hiring peaks, plant expansions, workforce ramp-ups, and complex staffing demands.
The role is based in Mexicali, Mexico, and requires travel across LATAM manufacturing sites.Responsibilities- Lead, coach, develop, and engage a geographically dispersed team of recruiters supporting manufacturing plants across Latin America.
- Own the end-to-end recruitment strategy for Manufacturing Factory Hourly positions, including operators, technicians, warehouse employees and production associates.
- Manage high-volume hiring operations across multiple countries and locations, ensuring recruitment goals, service levels, and business expectations are consistently achieved.
- Develop workforce planning strategies to support seasonal hiring peaks, plant expansions, new production lines, and other business-driven hiring fluctuations.
- Partner closely with Plant Managers, HR Business Partners, Operations Leaders, and regional stakeholders to understand workforce needs and establish effective hiring plans.
- Drive operational excellence through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across LATAM recruiting operations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage ATS capabilities, AI tools, automation technologies, and data analytics to improve efficiency, scalability, and candidate experience.
- Manage relationships with local recruitment agencies, staffing partners, and external vendors across LATAM, ensuring service quality, compliance, performance, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop and govern agency recruiting strategies to support large-scale hiring initiatives, workforce ramp-ups, and seasonal recruitment demands.
- Establish vendor performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews to evaluate agency effectiveness, hiring outcomes, productivity, and return on investment.
- Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, productivity, funnel conversion, hiring quality, and recruiter performance.
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for candidates, hiring managers, and business stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
- Lead change management initiatives related to recruiting transformation, process improvements, and organizational growth.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous development within the recruiting team.
- Ensure compliance with local labor regulations, company policies, and recruitment governance processes.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required.
- Solid Talent Acquisition experience, including significant experience supporting Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial and Factory environments.
- Proven experience leading and developing recruiting teams in a multi-site and/or regional environment.
- Demonstrated success managing high-volume recruiting operations, including Factory Hourly hiring.
- Strong experience recruiting for manufacturing and operational roles, including operators, technicians, production employees, warehouse staff, and frontline leadership positions.
- Proven experience supporting seasonal hiring peaks, workforce ramp-ups, plant expansions, or other large-scale hiring initiatives.
- Experience managing external recruitment agencies, staffing vendors, and contingent workforce partners in high-volume recruiting environments.
- Experience implementing recruiting process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational excellence practices.
- Strong people leadership skills with a track record of driving team engagement, accountability, performance, and development.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple organizational levels.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging recruiting metrics and workforce data to drive decision-making.
- Advanced to fluent level of English required.
- Fluent or native level of Spanish required.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mexicali, Mexico.
- Availability to work 100% onsite.
- Availability for travel across manufacturing sites in Latin America.Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting manufacturing operations across multiple countries in Latin America.
- Knowledge of Lean principles, process improvement methodologies, and operational excellence frameworks.
- Experience leading recruiting teams through organizational growth, centralization, or transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with ATS, CRM, AI-enabled recruiting tools, workforce analytics, and recruiting automation platforms.
- Experience partnering with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and HR leadership teams in complex industrial environments.
