Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a consistent classification regime to ensure standards meet the global Customs requirements for accuracy.
- Competent in reading and interpreting drawings/schematics/mill certificates and analysing the US and General Tariff Schedules to proficiently ascertain the correct HS codes for materials as related to the Carbon Emissions Project.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained and filed as related to any Binding Tariff Information issued by Customs authorities, so as to provide proper justifications of selected classifications.
- Comfortable interacting with Forwarders/Brokers/Engineering/Purchasing, if required, to provide classification instructions and any requested assistance from the NOV Brokerage Teams to ensure product moves in a timely manner.
- In coordination with NOV Compliance management,



proactively participate and conduct possible self-audits of our classifications to ensure and accuracy and compliance with government regulatory programs.
- Monitor trade legislation and regulations impacting the global Tariff Schedules and provide assistance to changes within these developments.
- 5 + years HS coding experience
- Knowledgeable about relevant regulations related to HS classification
- Experience with import/export procedures, international freight
- Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and International experience are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Work well under pressure and daily deadlines
- Highly motivated
- PC skills required (including MS Office)
- Must be fluent in English
