To support this growth, we are looking for a Sales Manager M/F for our MDM business.
Reporting to the MDM Sales Team Leader Americas, the role will be responsible for managing, developing, and closing profitable new business across Tijuana, the Mexican maquiladora, and the U.S. West Coast.
This is a remote role based in Tijuana, Mexico.
The primary focus of this role is selling medical packaging solutions to medical device manufacturers while also managing and expanding an existing portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
In addition to new busi-ness development, the role has a strong key account management dimension, ensuring long-term custom-er growth, satisfaction, and partnership.
To successfully manage this portfolio, the Sales Manager fosters alignment and effective collaboration across the regional sales organization.
This position requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent prospecting skills, and the ability to convert business opportunities into sustainable and profitable orders.
The Sales Manager works closely with cus-tomers, internal technical teams, and key stakeholders to support product validation, strengthen strategic customer relationships, identify growth opportunities within existing accounts,
and drive order intake and market expansion.
The adecuado candidate will be a collaborative and transparent team player who can operate successfully in a multicultural, cross-border environment.
This role also requires strong project management skills, the ability to build annual sales forecasts and budgets, and a commitment to delivering results in a dynamic, international business setting.
The position involves frequent travel throughout the assigned territory, including Tijuana, Mexico, the Mexican maquiladora, and the U.S. West Coast, as well as occasional travel to France for company seminars and business meetings.
Responsibilities and Duties • Grow sales within the assigned territory of Tijuana, the Mexican maquiladora, and the U.S. West Coast.
• Develop new business opportunities with medical device manufacturers.
• Manage and expand an existing customer portfolio.
• Prospect actively to identify and convert new commercial opportunities.
• Support product validation projects in coordination with customers and the technical department.
• Act as the link between customers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and follow-up.
• Turn business opportunities into profitable orders.
• Build annual sales budgets based on customer forecasts and new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate reporting and CRM updates.
• Apply company marketing and commercial policies consistently.
• Travel regularly within the territory and occasionally internationally as required.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Business Negotiation, Packaging En-gineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an export sales or B2B sales position.
• Experience in medical sterile packaging is preferred; experience in general packaging or food packaging will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of sales processes, customer development, and account management.
• Experience working with technical or project-based sales cycles is an asset.
Skills and Competencies • Strong prospecting and business development skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and customer projects simultaneously.
• Strong reporting, planning, and forecasting capabilities.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM tools.
• Knowledge of Incoterms is preferred.
• Able to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
• Customer-focused, proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented.
• Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptable and eager to learn about a new industry or market segment.
Language Requirement • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Travel Requirement • Travel approximately 50% to 70% of the time within the assigned territory.
• Occasional travel outside of territory but within the Americas and France for company seminars or business meetings.
