Accounting Specialist Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team.
The adecuado candidate will have a solid accounting background, strong analytical skills, and experience managing day-to-day accounting operations in a corporate environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end close activities, assisting with audits, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
The successful candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in general accounting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an international business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Assist with internal and external financial audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to audit requests.
Support accounts payable processes, including payment scheduling and vendor account reconciliation.
Assist in budget preparation, financial analysis, and expense monitoring.
Maintain accurate accounting records for fixed assets and inventory, including reconciliations and periodic reviews.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (NIF/IFRS, as applicable), and local tax regulations.
Support tax compliance activities,



including coordination of tax filings and required documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Collaborate with Finance leadership and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
~ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or equivalent preferred).
~2–3 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
~ Solid understanding of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) and general accounting principles.
~ Experience supporting internal and external audits.
~ Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, COI, or similar accounting software.
~ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
~ Advanced English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in multinational or international companies; experience working with Asian companies is a plus.
Knowledge of SAT regulations, tax compliance, and preparation of tax returns.
Experience with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
Familiarity with data analysis tools, Power BI, or advanced spreadsheet reporting.
Experience leveraging AI tools to improve accounting processes and productivity.
Professional certifications (CPA, IFRS Diploma, or similar) are considered an advantage.
