A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Senior Buyer at MKS, you will partner with Procurement, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Commodity teams to purchase material at the best cost, on time, with the best quality (ex. develop, support, execute, purchase, contribute, etc.).
In this role, you will report to the Procurement Supervisor.This position will require travel between 15% and 30% of the time and a valid passport and visa.You Will Make an Impact By:Plan, schedule and monitor material movement through the production cycle Evaluate vendor reliability and develop solutions in case of material shortagesMonitor cost and consolidate contracts where required to create cost-effective purchasing modelsDevelop new supply sources where required to keep operations stocked and able to generate the desired outputActively maintain inventory and collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate stockManage purchase order placement and confirmations using MRP; follow up on past dues and shortages, negotiate pricing, and update ERP attributes (LT and MOQ)Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues effectivelyFollow and achieve KPIsSkills You Bring:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and good writing and oral communication skillsCPIM and/or APICS certification required5+ years of related experienceAbility to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the timeMust be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understandMust be able to exchange accurate informationOperates in a professional officeConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery#LI-ST1.
