**Job Summary**:Senior accountant**Your primary responsibility**- Responsible for production of the external financial publication of PayPal Mxc (regulated entity);- Report monthly to the management team;- Responsible for the annual financial budget of the PP Mxc entity and monthly variance (Actual vs. Budget);- Review and manage daily process safeguarding framework, investigate and remediate any discrepancy;- Perform risk assessments, identify improvements required in the control and risk management framework and ensure improvements are made in an effective, sustainable and documented way;- Review and approve Regulatory Reporting for Maintain and develop robust and efficient accounting and reporting processes and related procedures/policies in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations;- Monitor KPIs in order to drive the performance of the operations;- Ensure the regulatory compliance of the outsourced activities and control and monitor its performance;- Collaborate with the Business to ensure compliance is built into products and initiatives;- Support effort to design, implement and improve finance reporting tools, processes and solutions.
**Requirement**- Qualified accountant (ideally from a Big 4 and or banking) with 5+ year professional experience;- University Degree required (Masters preferred);- English is mandatory;- Experience of working within highly regulated business environments is an advantage;- Master Microsoft Office tools, SAP experience would be an advantage;- Familiar with Financial services regulatory environment;- Strong problem solving skills and attention to details;- Excellent ability to analyse risks and recommend controls to mitigate those risks;- Excellent presentation and project management skills with the ability to successfully work multiple project/initiative at one time;- Working with shared services is an advantage;- High level of energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to work in a fast growth and changing environment;**Preferred Qualification**:**Subsidiary**:PayPal**Travel Percent**:0For the majority of employees, PayPal's balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace, ensuring that you equally have the benefits and conveniences of both locations.
