Job DescriptionLocation: Silao, Guanajuato (on‐site).
The Contract & Claim Manager will report operationally to the Project Lead, who will act as the main point of contact (FIDIC and Non‐FIDIC) for task planning, supervision, and performance review.The CCM will also coordinate closely with the Project Lead and relevant functional teams.Formal validations will be performed by Legal, Procurement, Finance, and PMO as per internal governance.Overview of the roleOversee the contractual and claims management process during execution.Collaborate with multiple teams to optimize project outcomes.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and help mitigate risks.Oversee project execution and lead the contract management execution strategy.Help ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget, as much as possible.InterfacesProject Lead & PMO: Collaborate with the Project Lead and PMO to align contractual obligations with project timelines.Procurement Team: Work with Procurement to address risks, negotiate claims, and manage supplier relationships.Legal and Compliance Team: Consult on legal compliance and on claim and dispute resolution strategies.Technical Workstream Leads (Engineering, MEP, Automation, etc.): Ensure that contract execution aligns with technical specifications and scope.Finance & Project Controlling: Coordinate budget management, invoice checking, payment approvals, and financial audits.FIDIC Engineer: Work with the FIDIC Engineer during change management, testing and inspection, and payment certification processes.Quality Assurance/Quality Control/Quality Management Team: Collaborate on quality control and compliance checks.Health, Safety & Environmental Team: Engage with HSE to ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance.Senior Management & Other Internal Stakeholders:



Advise senior management and other internal stakeholders on project progress and contractual risks and opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesContract and Communication Management (during execution phase)Communicate contract terms (esp. FIDIC), like scope, obligations, rights, and remedies to internal stakeholders.Serve as single point of contact for contractors, on the Employer's behalf, in relation to claims and other formal correspondence.Coordinate with project, technical, legal, etc. teams in drafting communications and responses to contractors, FIDIC Engineer, and other stakeholders.Claims and Oversight ManagementMaintain and supervise claims overview.Manage claims, including drafting and timely filing of notices, claims, comments/oppositions, and counterclaims.Establish a systematic approach for documenting and monitoring claims and their resolution (e.g., claims register, lessons learned register, monthly status reporting).
Change ManagementManage variations, change orders, and/or amendments, including preparation of initial drafts and conduct of regular reviews of these changes and variations.Establish a systematic approach for documenting and monitoring variations, change orders, and/or amendments (e.g., variations register, lessons learned register, monthly status reporting).
Milestones and Obligations ManagementMonitor contract milestones, program, deviations, and performance metrics.Maintain a commitment or obligations register.Supporting Negotiations for Claims and DisputesSupport Procurement in negotiating and drafting settlement agreements on claims, variations, and/or disputes.Implement lessons learned on claims and disputes from previous projects.Financial MonitoringSupervise, administer, and monitor bank bonds,



performance and warranty securities, insurance certificates, etc.Perform financial and progress monitoring and reporting.QualificationsDegree in Engineering or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in contract & claims management (esp. under FIDIC Frame).
Track record in execution of complex industrial/infrastructure projects (e.g., execution of at least two or three construction projects from post‐signing until handover to the Operations Maintenance Team).
Management experience in claims and variations is required.High proficiency in English (spoken and written).
