The Payroll Clerk is responsible for supporting payroll operations across multiple locations.
This position ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains employee payroll records, audits timekeeping data, and provides excellent customer service regarding payroll-related inquiries.The Payroll Clerk works closely with Human Resources, Operations, and Accounting to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, company policies, and payroll procedures.
Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly payroll for multiple locationsEnsure payroll transactions are entered accurately and completed within established deadlinesUpdate employee pay rates, position changes, transfers, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll changesProcess payroll transactions related to new hires, terminations, and employee status changesMaintain payroll records, employee earnings information, tax forms, direct deposit authorizations, and related documentationAssist with payroll corrections, off-cycle payments, final paychecks, and retroactive adjustmentsRespond to employee and manager inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and timekeepingSupport payroll withholdings, including garnishments, benefits, retirement contributions, and other deductionsMonitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour regulationsAssist with year-end payroll activities, including tax forms and reportingGenerate payroll reports for management, accounting,



and other internal stakeholdersMaintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll informationCollaborate with Human Resources and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate employee recordsAssist with payroll audits and other special projects as assignedEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferredExperienceMinimum of three (3) years of payroll processing experience requiredExperience processing payroll for multiple locations and/or multiple states is preferredExperience using payroll and timekeeping systems is requiredExperience with UKG or similar payroll software is preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong understanding of payroll processes and wage and hour regulationsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationStrong customer service and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsBenefitsChristmas Bonus: 30 days, to be paid in DecemberMajor Medical Expense Insurance: Coverage up to $25,000,****** MXNDental Insurance: Always smile with confidence!
