As the Maintenance Group Leader, you will be responsible for a small to medium group of maintenance employees.You will manage the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems in addition to the following responsibilities- You will conduct appropriate checks and tests, and communicate evaluation of results- Recommends solutions to problems- Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions- Meets schedule and quality requirements- Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements- Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices- Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project.Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles**Required Qualifications**:- Bachelor's Degree: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer and all Engineering related or related experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
- Shift flexibility: Availability to work on rotating shifts (4x3 schedule).
- English proficiency: Intermediate conversational level, with ability to express complete technical ideas.
**Technical expertise**:- Experience with industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet- Familiarity with Fanuc robots- Knowledge of electric motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), preferably Allen-Bradley.
