POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical Design Engineer will develop electrical design for standard and special units of the Chilled Water Systems business unit. He/she will closely follow objectives of quality, environment and costs working in cooperation with manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, procurement, suppliers, mechanical engineering, and product marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high-performance, cost-effective design and market leading innovation.

Designing of the product electrical features, owner of the dimensioning of the principal parts of assemblies.

Creates and reviews product documentation (drawings, specifications, bills of materials).

Creates design solutions for special products.

Work with Controls Engineering in the creation of controls connection guides.

Collaborates with external suppliers and colleagues in different regions.

Analyze and resolve technical issues on CWS products.

Meets objectives of cost, quality, environment, and execution time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (required).

Alternate, bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years of professional experience in electrical design.

2+ years working as Electrical Design Engineer.

Must have worked on selection of electrical components and devices (wires, contactors, VFD’s, fuses, transformers, etc.).

2+ years of CAD experience.

Owner of Electrical Schematics (Creation and sustaining).

Competence in international electrical regulations and standards ( UL, CSA, MD, IEC, and IEEE).

Desired experience with UL/CSA 60335-2-40 or UL 1995/CSA

Experience with PLM and PDM tools.
