**About the Company**
**Credit Saison Mexico, S.A. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R. ("CSMX")** is a member of **Credit Saison (CS) Group**, a large Japanese non-bank with an AUM of USD $30bn engaging in credit card issuing/acquiring, SME financing, real estate financing, and various Fintech investments and alternative impact finance.

**About the Role**
The **Investments Senior Associate**, will work the Origination & Opportunity Management.
They will lead the identification and early evaluation of new investment opportunities for Credit Saison México.
The role combines commercial relationship development with financial and credit analysis.
It is responsible for managing opportunities from initial contact through preliminary assessment, preparation of the Investment Screening Memo, and recommendation on whether an opportunity should advance.
The position will also lead Pipeline Development by identifying potential borrowers and partners, developing relevant market relationships,
and maintaining a qualified pipeline aligned with **Credit Saison México's** investment strategy.
Pipeline Development refers specifically to identifying and developing investment opportunities.
It does not include corporate marketing, branding, communications, advertising, or campaigns.
Once an opportunity is approved to advance, responsibility transfers to the team leading detailed due diligence and transaction execution.
**What You Will Do**
- Identify potential investment opportunities through market mapping, sector and company research, referrals, and relationships with relevant market participants.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective borrowers, financial institutions, advisors, originators, and other potential referral sources.
- Maintain a qualified investment pipeline, including prioritization, status, pending information, and next steps.
- Coordinate initial meetings and information requests with prospective borrowers and partners.
- Assess whether opportunities align with Credit Saison México's investment criteria, target sectors, products, and strategic priorities.
- Conduct preliminary financial, business, portfolio, and credit analysis to evaluate the quality and viability of each opportunity.
- Identify material risks, weaknesses, and information gaps that may affect whether an opportunity should continue.
- Prepare the Investment Screening Memo, summarizing the company, investment rationale,
preliminary analysis, key risks, potential mitigants, and recommendations.
- Work with the VP of Investments to develop initial high-level terms, including preliminary considerations related to facility size, pricing, structure, tenor, and collateral.
- Recommend whether an opportunity should proceed, pause, be declined, or require additional information.
- Prepare a clear and complete transfer of relevant information for opportunities approved to enter detailed due diligence.
**What You Will Bring (Skills & Qualifications)**
- Relevant +7 years' experience in private credit, corporate banking, wholesale finance, structured finance, specialty finance, investment banking, commercial lending, or related field.
- Strong financial statement analysis and credit assessment skills.
- Ability to evaluate business models, company performance, portfolio quality, funding needs, cash flow generation, and repayment capacity.
- Sound commercial judgment and the ability to form clear, well-supported investment recommendations.
- Experience preparing investment memoranda, credit proposals, underwriting materials, or similar analytical documents.
- Strong relationship-management skills and confidence interacting with founders, senior executives, financial institutions, advisors, and internal decision-makers.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities while maintaining clear organization and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
