Overview

Machine Safety Engineer — Eaton’s Corporate Sector division.

Responsibilities

- Design, document, and implement safety remediation for machinery to fulfil safety requirements.
- Promote the company’s mission and values by actively supporting ethics and quality policies.
- Perform hazard assessments of machinery.
- Provide engineering solutions and remediation to ensure machines comply with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain accurate quotations for equipment (price, delivery, technical adequacy).
- Ensure equipment is fabricated to safety design specifications.
- Evaluate machine/equipment alternatives for safety compliance.
- Participate in hazard analysis for new machines/equipment to ensure process safety.
- Provide technical assistance to project teams (ProLaunch) regarding safety design and its influence on test equipment design.
- Manage project work to meet timelines and ProLaunch deliverables.
- Provide technical assistance to manufacturing plants to solve safety design problems and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

- Engineering degree or related field required.
- 3–5 years of experience in hazard and safety analysis (environment preferably automotive).
- English language capability (speaking, reading, and writing) required.
- TÜV Level 1 or 2 certification.
- Software development engineering.




- Electrical and instrumentation fundamentals.
- Test equipment design.

Additional Information

- This position requires some travel.
- Requires management skills; act as a liaison for associates at all levels.
