About the role
As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring material availability and operational continuity by managing logistics activities related to capacity planning, container tracking, packing documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize material flow, proactively resolve logistics challenges, and support efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and monitor SMKT capacity to support production requirements and ensure material availability.
- Generate, maintain, and control Packing Data Sheets (PDS) to support accurate logistics and shipping documentation.
- Track containers and shipments, identifying potential delays and coordinating alternative transportation solutions when required.
- Follow up on Kaizen workshop tickets and support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.
- Collaborate with Materials, Planning, Production, Warehousing, and Transportation teams to ensure timely material flow and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Materials, Logistics,
Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Experience managing material flow, shipment tracking, inventory coordination, or logistics planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple functional teams.
- Experience participating in Kaizen or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of transportation planning, container management, or international logistics.
- Experience working in an ERP environment and with logistics performance metrics.
