About Zipmi Zipmi is building an AI‐assisted automation platform for the US immigration economy, with a focus on DS‐160 visa application processing — a market that sees 11 M+ applications annually. We're disrupting a fragmented industry currently dominated by expensive lawyers and consultants, offering AI‐assisted completion and submissions at a small fraction of the $******* status quo.Over time, our platform expands into adjacent services to support customers across their broader immigration journey.Mission Democratize access to immigration services and the tools that support them for underserved communities. The Role We're hiring a hands‐on Technical Product Manager to drive the day‐to‐day development of our H‐2 temporary worker visa product and our standalone DS‐160 product. This is not only a strategy‐from‐above role. You'll sit directly between designers and engineers — translating designs into clear, buildable specs, breaking work into well‐scoped tickets, clearing blockers, and keeping the team shipping. While you should be able to understand the strategy to achieve the bigger picture, you should also be comfortable in the technical details: reading the schema, understanding the API contract, and knowing why a given flow is hard to build, not just what it should do.Because we serve a predominantly Spanish‐speaking population, full professional fluency in English and Spanish is required. You'd be joining at a moment of real traction — early enough to shape the product and the team, with the stability of a clear and expanding product surface.Adecuado background: technical PM roles on consumer automation, B2 C, or Saa S products — think guided self‐serve products with real rules engines and conditional logic (tax filing, document automation, onboarding/verification flows, form‐heavy workflow tools).
Immigration‐specific experience is a bonus, not a requirement. What you'll do Sit between design and engineering: turn mockups and requirements into precise,

buildable specs that engineers can pick up without a meeting.Using Jira, break features into well‐scoped tickets, sequence them sensibly, and keep the board moving — chasing down blockers and dependencies before they stall the team.Get into the technical substance: trace how data flows through immigration forms, including DS‐160 and H‐2 filings, work through the conditional logic and edge cases that make these forms hard to build, and understand our third‐party integrations.Be the connective tissue that keeps designers, engineers, and operations in sync day to day — surfacing tradeoffs and gaps early instead of late.Keep the DS‐160 public launch and H‐2 build on track, accounting for the seasonal demand cycles that drive both. What we're looking for 5+ years in product management, most of it working shoulder‐to‐shoulder with an engineering team on a real product — at a startup, a scaled B2 C/Saa S company, or both.Genuinely technical instincts: you've owned a data model or schema decision alongside engineering (not just reviewed one), you can follow a code‐level discussion, and you write specs engineers respect.Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (non‐negotiable).
A bias toward shipping and a track record of keeping teams moving — strong at the unglamorous work of scoping, sequencing, and unblocking. You've worked hands‐on and close to the build, and you'd rather be shipping than presenting a roadmap deck.Nice to have: familiarity with US immigration workflows (DS‐160, H‐2 A/H‐2 B, USCIS/State Department), experience with rules‐engine or conditional‐logic‐heavy product surfaces, third‐party API integrations, AI‐assisted automation, or experience serving immigrant/Latin American markets.Compensation & Logistics We're a remote‐first team, with team members based in the US and Mexico — this role is open to candidates based in Mexico. This role is structured as an independent contractor engagement, with full‐time hours and commitment expected.Competitive compensation based on location and experience.
