Role
Comply with import/export regulations, handle tariff classifications, process documentation, and liaise with customs authorities.
Analyze and apply trade laws, manage customs data, and support internal audits to ensure accurate and efficient international trade operations for the organization.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understand the necessity and value of accuracy and complete tasks with high precision.
What the candidate will do
Manage and ensure compliance with IMMEX program regulations.
Analyze and apply the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
Accurately classify goods for customs using HTS.
Process record‐keeping import/export documents efficiently.
Monitor and control fixed assets in accordance with regulations.
Communicate and coordinate with customs and regulatory authorities.
Degree Requirement
Degree required in International Relations, International Business, International Commerce, or a similar field.
Intermediate conversational English.
What You Have
International Trade
Mexican Customs Laws: Comprehensive understanding of Mexican customs laws and international trade regulations.
FTA: Proficiency in managing Free Trade Agreement documentation.
Certifications & Programs:



Fixed Assets, Record Keeping, OEA/CTPAT, Annex *****, Customs Audits, PROSEC, CO, Regla 8va, formalities with Ministry of Economy such as Mill/Quality Certificates, SAT Audits, IMMEX, VAT Certification, countervailing duties.
Customs Regulations: Ability to stay updated with evolving regulations for compliance.
Legal knowledge: Understanding of Mexican customs laws and international trade regulations.
Analytical Thinking
Analytical skills.
Ability to conduct detailed audits and identify compliance issues.
Identify root cause issues and implement corrective actions.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail
Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
Complete tasks with high precision.
Develop and use checklists to ensure error‐free information.
Learn from mistakes and apply lessons learned.
Utilize specific approaches and tools for checking and cross‐checking outputs.
Maintain high accuracy in processing paperwork and following procedures.
Managing Multiple Priorities
Knowledge of effective self‐management practices.
Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities.
Prioritize and allocate time effectively.
Perform at least 2–3 concurrent activities without reducing productivity.
Problem Solving




Resolve compliance matters swiftly and efficiently.
Avoid fines by effective resolution of compliance matters.
Identify and document problems and resolution alternatives.
Understand stakeholder perspectives on specific problems.
Communicate effectively with customs authorities and train staff on compliance procedures.
Possess verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with government agencies.
Data Gathering and Reporting
Interpret and explain data‐gathering results.
Proficiency with customs software and databases such as Annex *****, Pedimentos Empresariales or similar.
Deliver reporting and presentations to internal and external customers.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Advanced conversational English.
Background in customs compliance audits.
Skills in analysis and presentation.
Pro‐active teamwork.

Location: Santa Catarina
Requires travel *****% (domestic and international).
Valid travel visa required.
