Job ResponsibilitiesParticipates in safety pre‐planning and hazard analysis for a project with the project superintendentInitiates and monitors project drug screening proceduresConducts safety orientation and training process for all employees and contract partners upon arrival on siteConducts all necessary safety training for an assigned projectParticipates in the enforcement of The Haskell Company Code of Safe Practice throughout the projectSupports project superintendent in safety efforts.
Provides inspection and corrective audits to the superintendent on a daily basis for their action with employees and contract partnersMaintains follow‐up procedures for ensuring all items identified are corrected in a timely fashionIf hazard(s) classified as an imminent danger are identified, stops operations and protects others from the hazard(s).
Contacts project superintendent for immediate correctionVerifies training of those involved in the generation of the hazardCommunicates with the assigned Regional Safety Supervisor (RSS) on all project safety issues.
Performs monthly Safety Evaluation Report (SER) with the assistance of the RSSParticipates in pre‐construction and subcontractor meetings to discuss/review safety‐related issues prior to commencement of their work and is aware of project particularsConducts weekly safety meetings with all project employeesEnforces safety rules per established disciplinary action guidelinesMaintains required employee training records and all project safety documentationAdministers all record‐keeping and reporting guidelines as required by regulatory agencies and company policiesConducts accident investigations and assists project superintendent in the prompt reporting of incidents/accidentsInspects and maintains safety equipmentIssues confined space and "hot work" permits as requiredAccompanies any authorized outside entities personnel on safety inspectionsPerforms additional assignments per supervisor's directionEducation / ExperienceMinimum of two years of experience in the construction industryKnowledge, Skills, Licenses, and CertificationsComplete OSHA Course #500 – a definite plusThorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulationsAbility to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measuresGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and TrustBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance plansCompany‐provided hospital indemnity, accident and critical care plansRetirement savings plan (401(k)) with company discretionary matching contributionsEmployee Stock Ownership PlanPaid time off and nine company holidaysProfessional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and advance your careerFlexible work hours and remote work optionsEmployee assistance programs for physical and mental well‐beingOpportunities for growth and advancement within the organizationAnd many more!




Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights of ***** pounds.
Requires good hand‐eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
