About Carrier Carrier Global Corporation is a general leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.Since inventing modern air conditioning in ****, the company provides innovations that bring comfort, safety and sustainability to life across industries.About The Role As a Staff Engineer – Lab VIEW & Test Automation, you will support sites utilizing custom Lab VIEW-based applications, instrumentation, and DAQ hardware, while partnering with IT to resolve technical issues.The role also contributes to initiatives that standardize Lab VIEW usage across sites and advance data acquisition alignment efforts.Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and guidance on Lab VIEW, hardware, and test automation best practices.Support and contribute to Lab VIEW development projects from concept through deployment.Gather and define requirements for new development efforts.Act as subject matter expert for laboratory systems and data management.Coordinate and track internal and external resources throughout the development lifecycle.Support site-level troubleshooting of Lab VIEW applications, instrumentation, and DAQ systems.Partner with IT to resolve system integration and infrastructure issues.Travel up to 15% (North America, Europe, and Asia).
Requirements We are looking for people who are highly organized, system-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively across a global organization.Minimum You Must Have Bachelor's degree in computer science,



Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Conversational English.5+ years of experience in Lab VIEW development and DAQ hardware integration.Certified Lab VIEW Developer (current or prior).
Proven experience delivering projects from concept through implementation.Strong experience with data acquisition systems and test automation.Proficiency in Lab VIEW application development and architecture.Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (RS-485, USB, GPIB, Modbus, Ethernet).
Competency with Microsoft O365 tools (Excel, Power Point, One Note).
Experience with SQL and/or No SQL databases.Knowledge of HVACR systems and gas furnace testing.Familiarity with industry standards (ASHRAE, ARI, DOE, UL testing).
