**Audit Analytics Analyst****Role purpose**:General Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.The Audit Analyst - Audit Analytics in HSBC Global Internal Audit (GBL INA) will support the individual audit teams in utilising automated, analytical tools to improve the overall effectiveness of the execution of audit activities.Work with individuals in audit teams to design, build, and deliver innovative technology-enabled auditing solutions.
**Main activities**:- Capture risk drivers in individual HSBC Lines of Business, Functions and regions that allow GBL INA to monitor and make more timely and better informed decisions on when, where, and how to deploy audit resources and/or change the timing, frequency, and scope of audit work.
- Perform innovative tests of control utilising digitised artefacts (data).
- Perform continuous tests of control using advanced analytics.
- Evaluate and implement new tools that will enable Audit Analytics to meet the technology needs of GBL INA.
- Develop and follow sustainable processes to support the Audit Analytics operational requirements, including management of risk associated with performance of the analytic (e.g. cross-border data transfer).
- Develop their knowledge of data sources, structures, meta-data, etc.

- Design, build, and deliver data analytics solutions to meet the needs of Audit,- Implement and follow an agile, iterative, adaptive approach during the development / delivery of audit technology solutions to meet the timely needs of Audit and add the most value.
**Qualifications**- Experience in Data Analytics or dynamic information technology programming experience or equivalent.
- Solid experience with Business Intelligence / analytical tools and programming Python, QlikSense (desirable), SQL (desirable).
- Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence is a plus.
- External or Internal Audit experience (desirable).
- Degree level in Computing, Information Systems, Mathematics, Quantitative, Numerical Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Advanced English (C1).
- Strong analytical, decision making, interpersonal, time management and problem solving skills.
- Track record in designing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions.
